This co-operative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through thece.
L4D2 promises a satisfying and uniquely challenging experience every time the
game is played, custom-fitted to your style of play.
cities, swamps and cemeteries of the Deep South, from Savannah to New
Orleans across five expansive campaigns. You'll play as one of four new
survivors armed with a wide and devastating array of classic and upgraded
weapons. In addition to firearms, you'll also get a chance to take out some
aggression on infected with a variety of carnage-creating melee weapons,
from chainsaws to axes and even the deadly frying pan. You'll be putting
these weapons to the test against (or playing as in Versus) three horrific
and formidable new Special Infected. You'll also encounter five new
"uncommon" common infected, including the terrifying Mudmen. Helping to take
L4D's frantic, action-packed gameplay to the next level is AI Director 2.0.
This improved Director has the ability to procedurally change the weather
you'll fight through and the pathways you'll take, in addition to tailoring
the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match your performan

2. Downloaded and apply "L4D2CRKWORKING.rar" from this thread.
3. Installed vcredist_x86.exe from Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9b2da534-3e03-4391-8a4d-074b9f2bc1bf&displaylang=en)
4. Installed dxwebsetup update from Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en)
5. Installed dotnetfx40_full_setup.exe from Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9F5E8774-C8DC-4FF6-8285-03A4C387C0DB&displaylang=en)
6. Changed shortcut on desktop to point to target "C:\Program Files (x86)\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2.exe" +sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 +sv_lan 1
7. Was still crashing to desktop at this point even when starting from console, changed system date to 29th of November 2009

L4D2 has components that require the installation rights Steam Service provides.

Problem #2: Left 4 Dead 2 ( L4D2) won�t install properly / get�s an error message, � incomplete installation (35) � while installing

If you get this error �Incomplete Installation (35)�, make sure your firewall allows outbound TCP connections to port 27019.
The server port for this system has been changed to 27031, which is used by other services and should improve the reliability of this connection, as it should already be open in any firewall that supports steam.
We do not expect this change to solve all of these problems, but should help for some.
There is a new Steam Client Beta, if you are still having the Incomplete Installation(35) problem, please try it.
If it does not solve the problem please PM me your account name, operating system and type of internet connection. |

Create a shortcut to left4dead2.exe on desktop, add following parameters:
-console -novid +sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 +sv_lan 1
Server runs L4D2_LANserver.bat and sets up the game.
Clients run from game console:
connect HOSTNAME/IP(Hamachi)
Players need to rename [sorry, the names won't hold a restart], so once:
