This guide is to help people install the latest gaming sensation, BIOSHOCK published by 2k Games (Australia) onto their computers without a legitimate CD-Key. For a week or so, this game has proved to have been one of the harder games to crack over the history of PC games. Thankfully, DarkCoder who has finally cracked the game, and warez-bb member 'opala' has given us a way to play the game, and instructions how to install the game. I, however will try to make the process much more understandable.

Preliminary: Have these files already downloaded. I have scanned them with Kaspersky myself so don't worry! However feel free to do it yourself, I understand I am a newbie to this forum, so i'm not trustworthy... :
1.) Bioshock.iso (6GB) - This is the actual game. You can obtain the game through private FTP's, downloading the image via various peer 2 peer applications such as Bit Torrent.
2)Max Image (5.5MB) - This is a mini-image of the DVD. It will look on your hard drive as if the file size is 6 GB, but it's not! We need these because it has the copy protection data on it.

Step ONE: Alright, assuming you have all the files and applications I listed above we can finally start!
First, extract the contents of your '
Bioshock.iso' onto your hard drive. I have extracted the contents onto my desktop, in a folder named '
Extracted Bioshock Files'. In the screen shot you can see that i'm using MagicISO to do it, however you can do the same with winrar/7zip. This extraction process is a bit lengthy because you're extracting 6GB worth of data!
Now after the long extraction process, you should have outputted something like this (NOTE - This is exactly what you'd see if you 'explored' the contents of the REAL DVD):
Step TWO: Now we should have a folder containing all the files to install Bioshock somewhere on our hard drive.
Now extract the contents of '
MaxImage_use7zip_opala.rar'
using 7-zip somewhere onto your hard disk (I've done it on my desktop) where you can easily tell Daemon-Tools where it is. What we just extracted was the 'max image'.
Now, load up Daemon-Tools, right click the icon on your bottom right, and click 'mount' to load up the max image we just extracted onto a virtual CD/DVD-ROM drive.
After successfully mounting the max image, you should get a window displaying the files contained in the max image.
Ignore this, just close the window.
Step THREE: Now remember the files that you extracted from the
Bioshock.iso? Go to wherever you extracted the contents, and run '
BSAutoRun.exe'.
NOTE: THIS WILL BEGIN THE INSTALLATION SETUP. DO NOT RUN THE GAME YET. JUST COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION AND THATS IT!
There shouldn't be any errors or problems, however keep in mind that this crack process is the first of it's kind, so please be patient if you do encounter problems!
Step FOUR: The game should now be installed and should have the latest updates. Now we
almost begin the cracking process:
Extract the contents of '
BioshockCrack.rar' onto your hard drive (Again, I have the files extracted to a folder onto my desktop for easy access). You should now have

in a folder. These are the
cracked versions of the original files.
Now, go to the directory where you installed Bioshock. This is the place where Bioshock, the actual game was installed onto your hard drive. The directory should look similar to:

Now once you're in that folder (
\Release), you should see a bunch of files. Ignore the files, and create a new folder called 'Original Files'. This will be the folder where we place the original files that the new, cracked versions of those files will be, just in case we mess up. Now go back to the (\Release) directory, and find the '
Bioshock.exe' and '
Paul.dll' files. Move/Cut and paste (or however you do it) these files into that folder we created, 'Original Files'.

Make sure that they have been moved completely so that we do not accidently overwrite these files. Make sure they are in the folder you created, 'Original Files'.*
Step FIVE: Now finally to crack the game.
Remember the files you extracted from earlier? The ones in that '
BioshockCrack.rar'? Read the following instructions carefully!
Open the folder containing the cracked 'Bioshock.exe' and 'paul.dll' (along with the 'secu.eg.reg' registry file). While still keeping this folder open, navigate through your hard drive again to open up your Bioshock game installation directory

copy and paste the cracked '
Bioshock.exe' and '
paul.dll' into the installation directory.

If you are prompted to overwrite something. You have either skipped the 'back-up process of moving the original files, or failed to. Please backtrack or backup the original files in case of an emergency.*
After successfully copying the cracked '
Bioshock.exe' and '
paul.dll' to your Bioshock installation directory, all that is left to do is to double click '
secu.eg.reg' (in the folder that you made from the '
BioshockCrack.rar') and apply the registry change.
Now you can play Bioshock. Enjoy! Please support the game developers so that they may feed their kids, gambling habits, and alcoholism. Thank you
